The rich history of alumni engagement in New Jersey dates back to 1923, when devoted graduates of North Carolina A&T State University first came together to form the original “A&T Club.” Though the group experienced a pause between 1936 and 1960, its spirit remained unbroken.
In 1961, the Club was proudly reactivated and formally chartered as the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. Representing Aggies across southern, central, and northern regions of New Jersey, the chapter grew in strength and numbers.
In 2020, in an effort to forge closer ties with more than 55,000 living alumni, the National Alumni Association was folded into the Foundation for North Carolina A&T State University. At that time, the chapter was renamed the New Jersey Chapter of the Foundation for North Carolina A&T State University, dba The New Jersey Alumni Chapter.
